Pat McCarthy

Pat is the singer/songwriter for The Back Burners. Most of our stuff is original music written by him. It's good stuff. He likes to play Ultimate and his guitar. Once he blew away the crowd at Karaoke with his infamous rendition of Take On Me. Eat your heart out A-ha. Except for your kick ass video from 1987... Pat is currently employed for a major Seattle-based web media company that is related to phone books but which makes its money entirely off of advertisements. You can thank him personally for quality checking all those pop-ups your getting.

Ben Krulewitch

Ben is the Rhodes player. He plays a mean Rhodes. His Rhodes used to be on tour with Cher. That's cool and you know it. Ben makes many of the helpful suggestions that define the truly unique sound of The Back Burners. One time one of those homeless guys from the Ave walked by our house and said, "Ohh Ben, I heard that guy kicks ass on the Rhodes." And then he walked away. This is a true story, you can ask Jason's friend Jeff about it. Ben also plays a synth, an organ, a cheap-o keyboard, and a piano. In fact it is his main goal in life to fill the entire downstairs of the house with keyed instruments. Ben could talk your ear off about installing Linux Advanced Sound Drivers, and in his free time he sometimes goes to work for a company that produces digital multimeters, or DMMs.

Josh Lovseth

Josh plays guitar. Josh has a new guitar which is electric but hollow and it sounds sweet. It's a sunburst color and looks cool, and Josh is cool too. He's super chill. He uses a Mac at home and work, which makes him even cooler. No longer known to fans as "...And Some Other Guy", Josh is recognized for his sweet guitar licks that make everyone else wish they could play guitar and didn't suck so much. A few times he and Jason collaborated on a project for school. It was probably mediocre and thrown together at the last minute, mostly because Jason was too busy eating granola bars and fruit cups and being late...but good beer was surely enjoyed in the process. Josh probably did most of the work too. Josh currently works for some tech company doing something techie and generally important.

Jason Tabert

Jason is sounds less like "a "half-assed drum player, at best" and more like "a semi-legit rock drummer". He also is mostly responsible for this site in all it's fantasticrappiness, although Ben has added some much needed back-end support. Let the jokes fly on that one...He can't go to sleep before 1 AM anymore. He's tried, but fails every time. Some people consider this to be a big problem. Mostly those he works with... When he's not being a famous rock drummer he works with computers. He used to sell Apples, then worked for a Big 5 consulting firm where he spent most of his time at Microsoft, and now he's with a web design/marketing/usability firm downtown. A good choice was made changing from a Tiger to a Fish. Jason plays on a Tama Starclassic Performer birch/bubinga drum kit; a Tama maple snare; Zildjian cymbals; and uses Vic Firth sticks.
